Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy
Effective Date: March 27, 2026
Last Updated: March 27, 2026
This Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy explains the rules that apply to purchases, trade
transactions, payments, and completed exchanges with TradeYourTech (“we,” “us,” “our”).
By purchasing from us, paying any price difference in a trade, accepting a payout or credit in a
trade, submitting hardware for trade, or otherwise completing a transaction with us, you agree to
this policy together with our Terms of Service, Trade-In Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Local
Meetup Policy, and any other applicable terms posted on our website.
1. All Sales Are Final
All sales are final.
Except where required by applicable law, we do not offer returns, refunds, exchanges,
cancellations, reversals, or store credit for completed transactions.
This applies to:
● product purchases
● GPU sales
● trade transactions
● hardware exchanges
● price-difference payments made by the customer
● cash payouts, credits, or value provided by TradeYourTech as part of a completed trade
● deposits or partial payments, unless otherwise agreed in writing
Ontario states that businesses are not generally required to offer returns or exchanges, but
refund rights can still arise in some circumstances under consumer-protection law.
2. No Refunds After Payment Is Received
Once payment is received by either party as part of a transaction, no refund will be issued.
This means:
● if the customer pays a difference to complete a trade or purchase, that payment is
non-refundable
● if TradeYourTech pays the customer a difference, payout, or value as part of a completed
trade, that payment is final and non-reversible
● once a transaction is completed, neither party is entitled to a refund, reversal, or
cancellation except where required by law
3. Completed Trades Are Final
Once a trade has been completed, it is final.
A trade is considered completed once all applicable steps have been satisfied, including:
● agreement on the final trade terms
● inspection and approval of the submitted hardware
● transfer of the agreed hardware
● payment of any difference by either party, where applicable
● completion of shipping or meetup exchange arrangements, where applicable
After completion, the trade cannot be cancelled, reversed, returned, or refunded except where
required by applicable law.
4. No Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges on completed sales or completed trade transactions unless we
choose to do so in writing.
Any exception is entirely at our discretion and does not create an ongoing obligation to offer
exchanges in future situations.
5. No Returns for Change of Mind
We do not accept returns, cancellations, or exchanges for reasons such as:
● change of mind
● no longer wanting the item
● finding a different price elsewhere
● buyer’s remorse
● ordering the wrong item
● deciding not to continue after completion
● compatibility issues with your case, motherboard, power supply, cooling, or other system
components
● preference changes regarding colour, design, size, or brand
You are responsible for confirming that the product you are buying or receiving is appropriate for
your intended use and system.
6. Compatibility and Buyer Responsibility
Before purchasing a GPU or completing a trade, you are responsible for confirming compatibility
with your setup, including but not limited to:
● case size and clearance
● power supply requirements
● connector requirements
● motherboard compatibility
● cooling and airflow
● driver and software support
● monitor and display compatibility
● overall system fitment
We are not responsible for compatibility issues discovered after the transaction is completed.
7. Product Condition and Testing
Where applicable, products may be tested, inspected, or described based on our internal review
process. However, unless expressly stated in writing, we do not provide a blanket refund right or
exchange right after sale.
Customers are expected to review product descriptions, ask questions before purchasing, and
understand the terms of the transaction before making payment.
Ontario notes consumers may still have rights where a business misrepresents a product or
service.
8. Trade Difference Payments
If a trade involves a value difference:
● any payment made by the customer to complete the trade is final once received
● any payment made by TradeYourTech to the customer as part of the trade is final once
the trade is completed
● no later dispute, change of mind, or market price movement will create a refund
obligation
GPU values and market prices can change quickly. By completing a trade, both parties accept
the agreed value at the time of the transaction.
9. Deposits and Partial Payments
Unless otherwise stated in writing, any deposit, hold payment, or partial payment made toward a
product or trade transaction is non-refundable.
If we choose to make an exception in a specific case, that exception will not apply to any future
transaction unless expressly stated in writing.
10. Cancelled or Rejected Trades Before Completion
If a trade is cancelled or rejected before completion, the refund rules above do not change the
separate shipping and return-shipping rules in our Trade-In Terms & Conditions and Shipping &
Local Meetup Policy.
If the customer wants hardware returned after a cancelled, rejected, or incomplete trade, the
customer is responsible for all applicable return shipping and related costs as stated in those
policies.
11. Exceptions Required by Law
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights that cannot legally be limited or
excluded under applicable law.
If a refund, cancellation, repair, replacement, or other remedy is required by law in a particular
case, this policy will be read subject to that legal requirement.
Ontario’s guidance says consumers can have statutory rights in some situations even if a
business has a posted refund policy.
12. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe there is an issue with your transaction, you must contact us first so we can review
it.
Improper chargebacks, payment reversals, or false disputes relating to a valid completed
transaction may be challenged by us using transaction records, communications, shipping
information, inspection records, and acceptance of posted policies.
13. Policy Updates
We may update this Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy at any time by posting the revised
version on our website. The most current version will apply going forward unless otherwise
required by law.
