Trade-In Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: March 27, 2026
Welcome to TradeYourTech. These Trade-In Terms & Conditions govern all trade-in requests,
submissions, quotes, inspections, and completed trade transactions between TradeYourTech
(“we,” “us,” “our”) and the customer (“you,” “your”).
By submitting a trade request, providing hardware for evaluation, accepting a quote, shipping
hardware to us, or completing a trade transaction with us, you agree to these Trade-In Terms &
Conditions.
1. Trade-In Service
TradeYourTech offers customers the opportunity to trade eligible graphics cards and related
hardware toward other available products, subject to review, inspection, approval, and final
agreement.
Submitting a trade request does not guarantee acceptance of a trade. All trade requests are
subject to review based on product type, condition, market demand, inventory availability, and
other factors determined by us.
2. Eligibility
To submit a trade request, you must:
● be at least the age of majority in your province or territory
● have the legal right to own, sell, and transfer the hardware submitted
● provide accurate and complete information about the hardware
● not submit any item that is stolen, counterfeit, financed but unpaid, leased, or otherwise
subject to another person’s ownership rights
We reserve the right to refuse any trade request at our sole discretion.
3. Customer Representations
By submitting a trade request, you represent and warrant that:
● you are the lawful owner of the hardware being submitted
● the hardware is not stolen, fraudulently obtained, or subject to any lien, financing, or
security interest
● all information you provide is true, accurate, and complete
● you have disclosed all known damage, defects, modifications, repair history, missing
parts, and performance issues
● any photos, videos, serial numbers, and descriptions you submit accurately reflect the
actual condition of the hardware
If any information provided is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, we may revise the quote,
reject the trade, cancel the transaction, or return the hardware at your expense.
4. Trade Request Submission
To request a trade quote, you may be asked to provide information including, but not limited to:
● brand and model
● serial number if requested
● condition details
● functionality details
● warranty status if applicable
● included accessories, packaging, or proof of purchase
● photos of the product
● the product you wish to receive in exchange
● your location for shipping or local meetup
You are responsible for ensuring that all submitted details are accurate.
5. Quotes Are Preliminary
Any quote, estimate, or trade value we provide before physical inspection is preliminary only.
Preliminary quotes are based on the information you provide and may be adjusted after we
inspect the hardware in person. Final trade value may be higher, lower, or unchanged
depending on the actual condition, functionality, completeness, cosmetic state, market
conditions, and whether the hardware matches your submission.
A preliminary quote is not a binding obligation on either party unless and until we confirm the
final trade terms.
6. Final Inspection and Valuation
All submitted hardware is subject to inspection and evaluation by us before a trade is finalized.
Inspection may include, where applicable:
● visual inspection
● serial number verification
● condition review
● functionality testing
● benchmark or stress testing
● verification of cooling, thermals, or stability
● confirmation of included accessories or packaging
Final trade value is determined by us after inspection. We reserve the right to revise or reject a
trade if the hardware:
● does not match the submitted description
● has undisclosed defects or damage
● has missing parts or accessories
● shows signs of tampering, modification, repair, misuse, or instability
● fails testing
● is determined to be in lower condition than represented
7. Accepted and Rejected Hardware
We may accept, reject, or conditionally accept hardware at our discretion.
We may decline hardware for reasons including, but not limited to:
● severe physical damage
● liquid damage
● burnt components
● missing major components
● failed functionality
● counterfeit or altered serial numbers
● signs of theft or fraud
● unsupported or unwanted models
● excessive wear beyond what was disclosed
In some cases, hardware with cosmetic wear, minor defects, or partial issues may still qualify for
a revised trade value.
8. Damaged Hardware
If your hardware is damaged, you must clearly disclose this before submitting or sending it to
us.
Undisclosed damage may result in:
● a reduced final trade value
● rejection of the trade
● cancellation of the transaction
● return shipping costs charged to you
We are not obligated to accept damaged hardware.
9. Shipping Trades
If the trade is completed through shipping, additional conditions apply.
You are responsible for packaging your hardware securely and appropriately. We are not
responsible for damage caused by poor packaging before the item reaches us.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
● you are responsible for the hardware until it is received by us
● we are not responsible for packages lost, delayed, misdelivered, or damaged in transit
before delivery to us
● any shipping instructions provided by us must be followed carefully
Once we receive the hardware, we will inspect it and confirm whether the trade can proceed on
the original quoted terms or whether revised terms apply.
If a trade is rejected after inspection and you want the hardware returned, you may be required
to pay return shipping and any related handling costs unless otherwise agreed.
10. Local Meetup Trades
For local meetup transactions, we may inspect the hardware in person before finalizing the
trade.
A local meetup does not guarantee that the previously discussed quote will remain unchanged.
Final value may still depend on the actual condition and functionality of the hardware at the time
of inspection.
We reserve the right to refuse, revise, or cancel the trade during or after a meetup if the item
does not match the submitted description.
11. Inventory Availability
Any product offered in exchange is subject to availability.
Submitting a request for a specific GPU or product does not guarantee that the requested item
will remain available. If the requested item becomes unavailable before the trade is finalized, we
may offer an alternative, revise the deal, or cancel the trade request.
12. Trade Difference and Payment
If your trade-in value is lower than the value of the item you are receiving, you must pay the
difference using an approved payment method before the transaction is completed.
If your trade-in value is greater than the value of the item you are receiving, any balance owed
to you will be handled in the manner agreed between both parties.
No trade is final until all required payments, hardware transfers, inspections, and approvals are
complete.
13. Quote Validity
Unless otherwise stated, trade quotes are valid for 24 hours only.
Because GPU values and inventory can change quickly, we reserve the right to revise or
withdraw any quote that has not yet been completed within the stated or reasonable timeframe.
14. Right to Refuse or Cancel
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, revise, or cancel any trade request or transaction at
any time before completion for any reason including, but not limited to:
● inaccurate or misleading information
● suspected fraud
● suspicious ownership history
● inspection failure
● inventory changes
● pricing or valuation changes
● communication breakdown
● safety concerns
● non-payment
15. No Transfer of Ownership Until Completion
Ownership of your hardware does not transfer to us until the trade is finalized.
Ownership of our outgoing hardware does not transfer to you until the trade is finalized and all
agreed conditions have been satisfied, including inspection, payment of any difference, and final
approval.
16. Customer Responsibility for Data
You are solely responsible for removing any personal information, saved data, linked accounts,
accessories, or items not intended to be included in the trade.
We are not responsible for any personal data left on submitted devices or components, to the
extent applicable.
17. Testing, Compatibility, and Performance
We may test hardware before acceptance or resale. However, you are responsible for
confirming that any item you receive through a trade is compatible with your own system,
including but not limited to:
● case size and clearance
● power supply requirements
● motherboard compatibility
● cooling requirements
● driver or software support
Performance expectations can vary depending on the full system configuration, game, software,
and use case.
18. Final Sale / No Return on Completed Trades
Unless otherwise required by law or expressly agreed in writing, completed trade transactions
are final.
Once a trade has been fully completed, including inspection, final agreement, and exchange of
hardware and/or payment, the transaction is considered final sale and may not be cancelled,
refunded, reversed, or returned.
Any exception must be expressly approved by us in writing.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeYourTech is not liable for any indirect, incidental,
special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to any trade request, trade
quote, inspection, rejected trade, completed transaction, shipping issue, delay, hardware defect,
compatibility issue, or loss of use, revenue, or data.
Our total liability relating to any trade transaction will not exceed the direct amount actually paid
by you to us in connection with that specific transaction, if any.
20. No Guarantee of Future Value
GPU market pricing can change quickly. We do not guarantee that any quoted, submitted, or
completed trade reflects future market value.
By proceeding with a trade, you acknowledge that values may fluctuate and that the agreed
trade reflects the value accepted by both parties at the time of the transaction.
21. Governing Law
These Trade-In Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the
applicable laws of Canada.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or any trade transaction shall be subject to
the courts of Ontario, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Trade-In Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The version
posted on our website at the time of your submission or transaction will generally apply unless
otherwise required by law.
